11th December

Yesterday and today there has been many christmas markets and events in my town. Yesterday me and my daughter went to the Renovation Centre Toivo and the Korsman house.
First we visited the Korsman House, which was the Korsman family’s home, circa 1951. Here we made ourself at home with three lovely ladies who gave us a cup coffee and rice pudding, and we sit down and relax to the popular tones of the 50s. It was so lovely.

After the pudding we went to this workshop where my daughter made the mouse you see the picture below. We made together also these traditional christmas gnomes. Iiris made the smaller one all by herself. I got the idea for the wooden christmas trees from the workshop but I eventually made that at home because Iiris got little bit tired.

I forgot to take the picture of todays gift I sent to Torhild. I sent for her a white "Hjem" sign. It is Norwegian and it means home.
Torhild gave me this very elegant christmas wreath. Tiina gave me her homemade ceramic which are so stunning. She also gave me the tiny birdcage. The trivet is made by Heli.

  2. What a lovely time Christmas is and wonderful to do special things together with your little Iiris. I think she'll be arty like her mummy. Gill x
