Cradel
I was inspired by this webpage where they represent finnish rural furnitures. This cradle was common in 17th and 18th century but the design was known in the midleage also. They used to carve the runner in the shape of fish tail as you can see. They also believed that the children sleeping in the cradle will be tall if the cradle rocks longitudinal.

In the museum in Hongary are a lot of that cradle, one site is with hinge, The crib stay in the night to (near) the parentsbed with open site. (The site with hinge is down. When the baby must food the mother is not going out bed, but give the baby milk, By day when the mother working in the house booth side are high. I hope you understand what I mean, when I come in the museum I make a picture from the cradle.
